ZEIT Trip to Ruhrtriennale

20.5.2025

Experience art, discover perspectives - at the most spectacular venues in the Ruhr region

From 29 August to 1 September 2025, ZEIT Reisen invites you to a four-day cultural trip to the Ruhrtriennale - the festival for contemporary arts in the unique atmosphere of former industrial sites. Guests can expect an inspiring programme of music theatre, dance and intensive encounters.

Highlights of the trip include the music theatre piece I Did It My Way with Lars Eidinger and Larissa Sirah Herden in the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum, inspired by Nina Simone and Frank Sinatra, as well as the multimedia production Oracle in the Kraftzentrale Duisburg - an artistic exploration of Alan Turing and the visions of artificial intelligence.

A special moment of the trip: the ZEIT discussion with artistic director Ivo Van Hove, who will provide insights into his programme ideas for the Ruhrtriennale.

The festival experience is complemented by a discovery tour to prominent locations in the region - such as the Ruhr Museum or the Museum Folkwang: Savour gourmet cuisine in a special ambience.
