Ruhrtriennale continues programme with German premieres and a world premiere
8.9.2025After more than two unforgettable weeks of Ruhrtriennale, we are looking forward to two more weeks of unique artistic visions of music theatre, drama, dance, concert and visual arts! In the coming days, you can experience some more highlights of this year's Ruhrtriennale with the German premieres of Falaise and WASCO! as well as the world premiere of Delay the Sadness by Sharon Eyal and S-E-D. An overview.
Like being hurled into a Fellini film...
For the very first time, the Franco-Catalan company Baro d'evel performs live in Germany! Eight performers, a white horse and a flock of pigeons move through a terrain of collapse and transformation in Falaise. The Kraftzentrale at Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord becomes a living organism where nothing remains fixed – destruction becomes choreography. Silence gives way to sound.
Our special offer for families: For the performance on 14 September, we are offering childcare alongside the performance, where children will explore selected themes from the performance through fun games and a variety of activities.
At PACT Zollverein, an explosive action painting performance with ten children, jazz music and lots of paint awaits you! In WASCO! choreographer Lisbeth Gruwez and musician Maarten Van Cauwenberghe explore what music, painting and dance have in common together with the young performers. The result is a performance that makes you want to be on stage yourself!
Workshops and events with free admission
On 12 September, Ruhrpott für Europa will be coming to Wunderland with their popular talk format Auf einen Çay mit... Together with Tim Sieper, Germany's youngest mayor, we want to talk about the importance of youth engagement and the upcoming local elections on 14 September.
An unforgettable family experience awaits you on Saturday, 13 September. At the Wunderland festival centre, we invite you to Hobby Horsing – an imaginative mixture of creative design and physical activity. Participants create their own hobby horses or hobby ponies, which they can then try out in Westpark on a varied parkour course.
