Casting Call for “I Did It My Way”

Ruhrtriennale is looking for two extras to appear as doubles in the video for the 2025 festival production I Did It My Way

We are searching one female and one male extra to act as doubles for the lead performers in Ivo Van Hove's production – Larissa Sirah Herden and Lars Eidinger. The video will be used as part of the live performance. 

When

Filming: 8 August 2025 (approx. 10 hours), no rehearsals 
Additional day: Costume & make-up fitting (approx. 4 hours, scheduled within a week before shoot)

Wen wir suchen

We are looking for two extras with a strong presence. Previous stage or performance experience of advantage, but not essential. It is important to feel comfortable with fine physical expression and movement.

Female or diverse extra to play 
Larissa Sirah Herden

  • Height: 170–175 cm
  • Hair: dark, shoulder-length
  • Clothing size: S-M
  • Aged 30–45 years

Male or diverse extra to play 
Lars Eidinger

  • Height: approx. 190 cm
  • Hair: Dark blonde, shoulder-length
  • Clothing size: M
  • Aged 30–45 years

The scenes

The video shows a couple in their home, depicting everyday situations with subtle emotional nuances:

  • entering and leaving rooms
  • Sitting at the table
  • Slight tension and emotional distance.

All scenes are shot from a distance and often in silhouette or with minimal lighting. Faces will not be recognizable.

No nudity.

There will be slight intimacy, such as touching, hugging, dancing or a simple kiss. Sleeping clothes or simple underwear may be required.

An intimacy coach will be present on site.

Practical information

  • Adequate fee as an extra
  • Communication on set will be in English
  • European citizenship or valid work permit for Germany is required
  • Employment via payroll tax card only, freelance work not possible.
