With ZEIT REISEN to the Ruhrtriennale 2026

15.5.2026

From 20 to 23 August 2026, ZEIT REISEN invites you on a four-day cultural tour to the Ruhrtriennale. A diverse programme of musical theatre, concerts and visual arts awaits you. Highlights include a visit to this year’s opening production, Rebel Rebel, directed by artistic director Ivo Van Hove with music by David Bowie; the musical theatre piece Emily – No Prisoner Be, featuring opera star Joyce DiDonato; and Ingoma! - Eine Revolution im Rhythmus, a concert by Rwanda’s first all-female and thus revolutionary drum ensemble, Ingoma Nshya.

The festival experience is complemented by a discovery tour of notable sites in the region – such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zollverein or St. Gertrud Church in Essen, a project of Manifesta 16 Ruhr.
