When composer Olga Neuwirth intensively studied the art of Leonora Carrington in 1992, she created the animated short film ›Canon of Funny Phases‹, which she developed together with her sister, artist Flora Neuwirth. Olga Neuwirth extended the short video (16-split screens - video monitors at the time) into a 16-part canon of ›visual and aural constriction‹. ›At that time, electronic means of animation were still very much in their infancy - but it was fun!‹ - Olga Neuwirth recalls.

Olga Neuwirth's intermedial music theater Bählamms Fest, based on Leonora Carrington's drama ›The Feast of the Lamb‹, will be shown at the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum as part of the Ruhrtriennale 2021.
