Barrier-free Access

Persons with severe disabilities who have a disability card marked with a B are entitled to a free ticket for their companion. Tickets can be booked via the ticket hotline at +49 (0) 221 280 210, or at the box office. Please have your proof ready at the event.

Wheelchair-accessible seats are available for booking through the ticket hotline at +49 (0) 221 280 210. One companion ticket is free of charge.

Access aids make it easier for people with reduced mobility to access the grandstands. These can be used at all events in the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum, in the Gießhalle and Gebläsehalle at Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord as well as in the Maschinenhalle Zweckel. 

Assistance dogs are welcome at the venues. Please book your ticket via the ticket hotline +49 (0) 221 280210, where you will be allocated a seat that also comfortably accommodates your dog.

People with hearing impairments can borrow mobile inductive hearing loops free of charge for a deposit at Jahrhunderthalle Bochum, Maschinenhalle Gladbeck as well as Gebläsehalle Duisburg. In conjunction with a suitable hearing aid, these enable people to hear the sound on stage with amplification.

Access to the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum, to the Turbinenhalle as well as the Dampfgebläsehaus is at ground level and barrier-free. For seated Ruhrtriennale events, a sufficient number of seats are available for wheelchair users including accompanying persons or assistance animals with unrestricted visibility. Our service team on site will be happy to assist you.

Access aids are available at the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum and help people with reduced mobility to access the grandstands.

Accessible toilets are located in the lower foyer of the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum which can be reached via a lift.

If you visit events at the Turbinenhalle or the Dampfgebläsehaus you can use the accessible toilets in the Pumpenhaus, which is located right next to the Dampfgebläsehaus.

The multi-storey car park has five accessible bays; Navigation: An der Jahrhunderthalle, 44793 Bochum (Entrance: Wattenscheider Straße at the junction with Gahlensche Straße; follow the signs)

If necessary, people with walking disabilities can get off directly at the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum. Please register in advance at vorderhaus@ruhrtriennale.de.

Access to PACT Zollverein is at ground level and barrier-free. The stage area is accessible by lift. For seated Ruhrtriennale events, a sufficient number of seats are available for wheelchair users including accompanying persons or assistance animals with unrestricted visibility.

Barrier-free toilets are located in the immediate vicinity of the foyer. Visitors will find them on their right-hand side before entering the foyer.

There are two accessible bays right next to PACT Zollverein.

Access to the Grillo-Theater is, for the most part, barrier-free. There is a lift in the right-hand entrance tower of the theatre, which can be accessed at ground level via the side entrance. For seated events, there are a sufficient number of seats available for wheelchair users, including accompanying persons or assistance animals with unrestricted visibility.

Accessible toilets are located on the ground floor of the Grillo-Theater.

The Deutschlandhaus and Kennedyplatz car parks have accessible bays and lifts. From both car parks, it is approximately 250 metres through the pedestrian zone to the Grillo-Theater.

Access to the Lichtburg is at ground level and barrier-free. The hall is accessible by lift. A sufficient number of seats are available for wheelchair users including accompanying persons or assistance animals with unrestricted visibility. Our service team on site will be happy to assist you.

An accessible toilet is located in the basement of the Lichtburg, which can be reached via a lift in the foyer. Once you have reached the basement, the toilet is located directly to the left of the lift.

The Akazienalle and Kennedyplatz car parks have accessible bays and lifts. From both car parks, it is approximately 250 to 300 metres through the pedestrian zone to the Lichtburg.

Access to the venues of the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord is at ground level or accessible via a ramp / lift. The paths between the Kraftzentrale and the Gießhalle are asphalted and at ground level. 

For seated Ruhrtriennale events, a sufficient number of seats are available for wheelchair users including accompanying persons or assistance animals with unrestricted visibility. Our service team on site will be happy to assist you.

Accessible toilets are located in the Kraftzentrale foyer and on the forecourt of the Gießhalle. Visitors to the Gebläsehalle can reach accessible toilets via a lift in the foyer.

A sufficient number of accessible bays are available in the car park of the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord; Navigation: Emscherstrasse 71, 47137 Duisburg (Meiderich)

If needed, people with walking disabilities can get out directly at the barrier in front of the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord. Direct access to the Kraftzentrale or the Gießhalle is not possible.

Access to the Maschinenhalle Zweckel is at ground level and barrier-free. Stage and catering areas are accessible by lift. For seated Ruhrtriennale events, a sufficient number of seats are available for wheelchair users including accompanying person or guide dog with unrestricted visibility. Our service team on site will be happy to assist you.

Access aids are available at the Maschinenhalle Zweckel and help people with reduced mobility to access the grandstands.

Accessible toilets are located in the foyer of the Maschinenhalle Zweckel.

Disabled parking is available in the visitor car park.
