Mortier Next Generation Award 2026/2027

The Mortier Next Generation Award 2027 is now open for entries. Awarded every two years, the prize supports projects by artists at the start of their careers and comes with a cash prize of up to 30,000 euros. The award also includes a fellowship lasting several months at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin.

Applications are open to individuals who have not yet reached the age of 35 by the submission deadline. Applications must be submitted by 30 October 2026, exclusively by email to mortierawards@gmail.com.

An independent jury will decide on the winner in early December 2026. The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, 6 March 2027, at the Teatro Real in Madrid.
