Let's dance through the last night of the Ruhrtriennale 2022 together: in a collective frenzy, a small, utopian temporary society that invites everyone to come as they are - beyond ideologies, regardless of class, skin colour, age or sexual orientation. In cooperation with the Essen-based collective The Third Room, we have invited an international line-up that sets new standards.

It starts with Juliana Huxtable:The multidisciplinary artist, performer, author and DJ not only enchants clubbers all over the world with her experimental sound, but has also performed at the Whitney Museum and Moma PS1 and is currently preparing a major exhibition in New York. Dr. Rubinstein, who has been known for her electrifying sound for many years. Whether in the line-up of festivals like Melt and Sonàr, as a resident at De School, BASEMENT NY or the Klubnacht at Berghain: the Israeli with Russian roots, based in Berlin since 2012, combines her unmistakable musical sense for rich, energetic and particularly danceable sound in the selection of her records. Behind the pseudonym Planetary Assault Systems (live) is the British techno producer Luke Slater, who has created a deep, hypnotic style over the past decades and who is considered a constant innovator of "psychedelic mindfuck techno" - funk-heavy techno in the purist tradition. If outer space had an audible sound, it would probably sound like Luke Slater. The last hours of this night, when day slowly penetrates the glass roof of the Jahrhunderthalle, belong to Marcel Dettmann and Ryan Elliott. Both are pioneers of electronic music, established producers, connected through the legendary Berlin label Ostgut Ton. Both have been playing as resident DJs at Berghain and Panorama Bar for many years. Ryan Elliott not only comes musically from Detroit and effortlessly bridges the gap to Berlin in his sound. He also defies clear categorisation between house and techno. He lives out the playful connection between the two worlds in his label Faith Sound, which he founded in 2019. Marcel Dettmann has been a formative figure in the development of contemporary electronic music for over twenty years and is one of the world's most influential producers and DJs. He has released several albums on Ostgut Ton, created compilation albums for Berghain and London's Fabric Club and remixes for artists of various genres, such as Junior Boys and Moderat. Marcel Dettmann is also a multifaceted artist outside of the club context and was involved, for example, in the production MASSE, a cooperation between Berghain and the Berlin State Ballet.

Some of the originally announced artists - Len Faki and Nastia & Daria Kolosova - had to cancel their performances for various reasons. We were able to set up a new line-up at short notice.

Awareness Team

We want to celebrate safely together with you. That's why we have set up an awareness team for the rave to ensure that all guests feel comfortable and safe during the show.

There are five people on duty who move around the entire area and keep a preventive and proactive eye on the event. They can be recognised by white T-shirts with the words "Awareness Team" printed on them.

The team is on site during the entire event and can be contacted at any time in case of conspicuous behaviour such as racism, rejectionism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, sexual violence, anti-Semitism or age discrimination.
