Junge Triennale invites to the opening of the Safe Space
The Junge Triennale opens its new project location on Friday, 7 February 2020 at 3.30 pm at Brückenplatz in Duisburg-Hochfeld.
The Safe Space is a creative meeting place for children and young people from 8 years of age to meet artists and cultural workers all year round. There will be theatre scenes, music and a photo exhibition at the opening. The programme shows the results of a project week with pupils from the Gesamtschule Globus am Dellplatz and contributions from young people. Admission is free. Please register at email@example.com.
#nofear is supported by the Mercator Foundation.
Children and young people have a right "to free participation in cultural and artistic life" - that is what the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child says and the Ruhrtriennale does exactly that with the Junge Triennale. It offers young people the opportunity to experience art and culture and to make it themselves - also in the third year of Stefanie Carp's artistic direction under the slogan #nofear. In Duisburg-Hochfeld the Safe Space is a creative meeting place for children and young people from 8 years on. It offers the opportunity to meet artists and cultural workers on site and to engage in artistic activities with a wide range of offers.
