CHORWERK RUHR with anniversary concert

On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, CHORWERK RUHR presents Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's oratorio Elijah (German: Elias) - one of the greatest choral works ever written - on five dates.

In his main work, Mendelssohn Bartholdy takes up the Old Testament story of the prophet Elijah from the first Book of Kings. For this complex and opulent work, CHORWERK RUHR once again joins forces with the outstanding musicians of Concerto Köln. Together they present the work under the direction of Florian Helgath at five special venues in the region.

The soloists are Carolina Ullrich (soprano), Ingeborg Danz (alto), Patrick Grahl (tenor) and Thomas E. Bauer (bass). Bauer already impressed this year in Mendelssohn's Die erste Walpurgisnacht in the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie.

The official advance booking starts today, 9 Dec at 11 am. Get 15% early bird discount on your order. Further information on dates and tickets can be found at www.chorwerkruhr.de.
