I would love to give these four books – the Alexandria-Quartet by Lawrence Durrell – to the library. I read the books for the first time in 1977 and was extremely fascinated by the construction of the novels, a decoding of time and space through the depiction of events from different perspectives. Paired with the image strong language that transported me to a place (and still does today) that could not have been any more auspicious. Especially these days, mind travel is so important!
