Come to the opening weekend of the Ruhrtriennale 2023! William Shakespeare's »A Midsummer Night's Dream« awaits you in the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord – staged by Ruhrtriennale artistic director Barbara Frey. In this co-production with the Burgtheater Wien, you will experience an excellent acting ensemble.
In the Gebläsehalle you will experience the world premiere of »Die Erdfabrik« – the latest composition by Ernst von Siemens Music Prize winner Georges Aperghis: a universal-intimate chamber music theatre of the senses, primal feelings and thoughts.
The opening of Eva Kot'átková's fascinating work »My Body Is Not An Island« in the Kulturkirche Liebfrauen in Duisburg city centre congenially complements the cultural programme. Explore the immersive landscape of the Czech artist, which can be discovered in a very special place.
In the Duisburg-Nord Landschaftspark it's also worth exploring the impressive architecture of the former ironworks. Tip: On top of the blast furnaces of the landscape park you have the best view over the region!
