Sabine Ercklentz initially studied Law at Freie Universität Berlin before switching to trumpet/popular music at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler. She lives in Berlin and works as a composer, musician and performer. Her work regularly inhabits musical border zones, transcending the fixed boundaries of genre. She frequently collaborates with other artists, including Andrea Neumann, Antonia Baehr and Anja Weber. Her concert and festival performances have included; FIMAV in Victoriaville, Canada, Red Cat Los Angeles, CalArts in the USA, Rencontres Chorégraphiques Paris, Moderna Museet Stockholm, Taktlos Zürich, City of Women Lubiljana in Slovenia, Wittener Tage für Neue Kammermusik, Donaueschinger Musiktage, Forum Neue Musik, Jazzfestival Moers, Jazztage Leverkusen, Jazzfestival Leipzig, ‘Wie es Ihr gefällt’, ZKM Karlsruhe and the German Dance Platform in Dresden.
