Florian Helgath

Musical direction

Florian Helgath has been the artistic director of Chorwerk Ruhr since 2011. With this successful ensemble he develops choral music of the highest quality from all epochs, from a cappella to choral symphonies. From 2009 to 2014, Helgath conducted the Danish Radio Choir and from 2008 to 2016 he was conductor of the Via Nova Choir Munich. He conducted numerous world premieres with the Munich Ensemble and has been awarded national and international prizes. From the 2017/18 season, he took over the artistic direction of the Zürcher Sing-Akademie. Florian Helgath is also a regular guest of the SWR Vokalensemble, the RIAS Kammerchor, Bayerischer Rundfunkchor, MDR Rundfunkchor, Choeur de Radio France, Münchner Rundfunkorchester, Danish Chamber Orchestra and the Ensemble Resonanz.
