Chorwerk Ruhr is one of the most important chamber choirs in Germany. Founded in 1999, the vocal ensemble has developed into a fixed pillar on the vocal arts scene in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2011, the award-winning conductor Florian Helgath took over as artistic director. Many renowned conductors such as Sylvain Cambreling, Reinhard Goebel, Rupert Huber, Kent Nagano, Peter Neumann, Emilio Pomàrico and Peter Rundel have since then made guest appearances with the ensemble. In concerts with renowned orchestras such as the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Concerto Köln, Ensemble Resonanz, Ensemble Musikfabrik, Ensemble Modern, Bochumer Symphoniker, SWR Sinfonieorchester Baden-Baden and the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks Chorwerk Ruhr has received outstanding reviews.
