Miron Hakenbeck

After studying at the musical academy „Hanns Eisler“ in Berlin Miron Hakenbeck went to TR Warszawa, where he participated in the staging of Hanoch Levins „Krum“ by Krzysztof Warlikowski. Hakenbeck also worked as Warlikowskis dramaturg for many of his opera productions e.g. at the Teatr Wielki in Warsaw („Wozzeck”), at the Opéra national de Paris („Iphigénie en Tauride”, „Die Sache Makropoulos”, „Parsifal and Król Roger”) and at the Théâtre La Monnaie in Brussels („Médée”). Since the season 2008/09 he works as a dramaturg at the Bavarian state opera where he worked with directors such as Krzysztof Warlikowski, Andreas Kriegenburg, Árpád Schilling and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and developed festival projects with Romeo Castellucci, La Fura dels Baus and Sven Holm. At the Bavarian state opera he staged the evening in three parts „Rothschilds Geige”/„Die Entscheidung”/„Herzland“, combining chamber operas by Weniamin Fleischmann and Sarah Nemtsov with a story by Hanna Krall, as well as „Zeisls Hiob”, a performance of Erich Zeisls unfinished opera „Hiob” after Joseph Roths novel of the same title and a continuation of this fragment created by the composer Jan Duszyński.
In 2016 he collaborated with director Árpád Schilling creating „Báng bán ACT“, the Hungarian group Krétakör’s contribution to the project „Nationaloper” initiated by the opera company NOVOFLOT at the Radialsystem V Berlin.
